Although three months still remain before 'The Originals' returns for its third season to The CW, spoilers for the upcoming season are already being revealed. Recently, Danielle Campbell, who portrays Davina in the series, discussed about the changes that will happen to her character in the next season of the horror fiction television drama series.

A report in Christian Today says that Davina was hailed as the new ruler of the witches' clan and this suggests that she will have additional power as well as responsibilities in Season 3. In 'The Originals' Season 2, viewers saw the new regent developing a stronger fury against Klaus (Joseph Morgan) when he deprived her of the final chance to bring Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) back to life. In addition, viewers will also recall that in Season 2, the Mikaelson siblings brought their mother Esther (Alice Evans) back to help them defeat their aunt Dahlia (Claudia Black) and protect Klaus' daughter Hope.

Talking to Buddy TV recently, Campbell said that despite her rage, Davina will focus all her energy on taking care of her people.

The actress revealed, "She has to be strong for her people," adding, "She has to do what's best for them, and I think that's going to force her to make decisions that she's uncomfortable with, but at the end of the day, she's going to need to figure out how to make her people respect her and understand her and she's going to struggle with that."

Campbell further said that although Davina will no longer be afraid of anybody, she will try to keep a distance from the vampires for a while. Nevertheless, Davina and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) will always have a special attachment.

According to the actress, there will be many characters in the history of the vampires, werewolves, and witches, which will be introduced in 'The Originals' Season 3.

In the meantime, The Hollywood Reporter reported that 'H2O: Just Add Water' star Andrew Lees was approached to portray the character of Lucien, Klaus' first sire who is an "intelligent, charming, and extremely successful. Lucien is comfortable with princes and paupers alike. He takes prides on himself for being two steps ahead of everyone else," the description of the character in the series read.

Furthermore, actress Rebecca Breeds from 'Pretty Little Liars' will also join the cast to portray the role of Aurora, a free-spirited witty seductress who is also known to have an very violent dark side. As of now, it has not been confirmed if Breeds will portray the character of Rebekah's (Claire Holt) first sire.

Actor Jason Dhring will portray another character named Detective Will Kinney in Season 3.

'The Originals' season 3 will premiere on Thursday, Oct. 8.
