'The Originals' Season 2 finale titled 'Ashes to Ashes' is expected to be intense and dramatic with the Mikaelson siblings reuniting and battling for their lives in a marathon face-off against Dahlia.

Since the arrival of Dahlia in New Orleans, this omnipotent witch has been responsible for lots of drama as well as chaos. According to Latin Post, in the upcoming 'The Originals' Season 2 episode 22, fans will be seeing how Klaus, Elijah and Rebecca works unitedly to stop her plot to acquire Baby Hope's power as well as conquer the evil forever. Meanwhile, Davina will be seen endeavoring to implement her own plan, including bringing back Kol.

In episode 21 aired last week, fans saw Klaus forced Rebekah to kill herself with a view to free the latter from living in a witch's body and go back to her original form as a vampire. Actress Claire Holt, who plays the role of Rebekah, said living as a witch for some period has certainly altered Rebekah's outlook on life.

According to Holt, "Rebekah's always wanted family, and she's always wanted children and a life, and so I think she sort of started to see that there was some of those things that were possible in her witch body," said Holt to Entertainment Weekly. But, "Klaus had other plans for her. He felt that she was more durable in the original body, in my body. It was a decision that was made for her, and she understood that there were reasons behind it. But I think she's feeling conflicted as to what she really wants to do and how she wants to lead her life, and [in] which body that would be."

Notwithstanding the sinister nature of Klaus, Holt hinted that Rebekah will eventually forgive her brother.

According to Holt, "Rebekah and Klaus' relationship is so layered and so complex and deep, and I think she's sort of in a different boat to Elijah. Elijah has had so much taken from him [by] Klaus of late, and I think that their relationships are different. I wouldn't say that this was the end for [Klaus and Rebekah]. I think she's definitely frustrated with the way that [Klaus] behaved, but I think Elijah has more reason to disconnect with Klaus after all of this."

Meanwhile the official synopsis of 'The Originals' Season 2 finale titled 'Ashes to Ashes' posted by CarterMatt reads, "With time running out, Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) ultimate plan to protect baby Hope at all costs continues to take shape. As tensions between the siblings come to a head, Cami (Leah Pipes) reveals a vital piece of information that causes Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah to reconsider their plan of attack against Dahlia (guest star Claudia Black). Davina (Danielle Campbell) finds herself one step closer to fulfilling the promise she made to Kol, while Freya (guest star Riley Voelkel) is forced to take drastic measures to protect herself against Dahlia."

It goes on to state, "Elsewhere, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) has to put aside his fury at Klaus in order to protect himself and everyone in their sire line. Meanwhile, Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) finds himself torn between the prospects of a magic-free life away from New Orleans and a personal obligation to protect Davina. Finally, with their risky plan in place, the Mikaelson siblings prepare for the fight of their lives."
