In Season 2 Episode 20 of The Originals, Klaus meets with Dahlia and she tells him that she has a proposal for him. She shows him a scene in which Dahlia and Esther pledge to stick together even as they are pulled away from one another by Vikings.

Freya suggests that Elijah bring Hope to be used as bait in order to trap Dahlia.

He thinks that she purposely waited for Klaus to leave in order to reveal her plan, but she states that this is the only way to keep Hope safe. Marcel took Rebekah to the safe house which had originally been arranged for Hope.

He reminds her that if she is killed or hurt, several young witches who are linked to her would experience the same fate. Then he brings Vincent to the safe house and instructs him to help Rebekah with the unlinking spell.

Jackson has organized a spot for Aiden to be buried in, saying that he can no longer keep carrying Aiden's body around while they run.

When Hayley realizes that Jackson plans to bury Aiden the way they would a murderer or a traitor, she reminds him that Aiden was killed for his loyalty to the pack.

She also makes a decision to show the pack that their lives are important and to take Aiden to the river so that he can be mourned as another loyal wolf would.

Meanwhile, Elijah and Cami take a collection of dark objects to the safe house and requests Vincent's help in making them into a kind of decoy.

Dahlia's proposal to Klaus is that he will be allowed to raise his daughter, but she will also be a part of Hope's life.
