In line with NBC's medical drama "The Night Shift" season 3 details on the premiere date and cast have been revealed.

According to Deadline, "The Night Shift" season 3 is set to air on June 1, as per NBC Universal's Summer Press Day event in Westlake Village. The network's medical drama will be followed by the competition series "Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge" on June 12 and will preview for a second time on June 20 prior to settling to its regular time slot on June 23.

"The Night Shift" centers on a special group of doctors and nurses at San Antonio Memorial emergency unit and they are set to face risks to save people's lives. The series stars Scott Wolf, Tanaya Beatty, J.R. Lemon, Robert Bailey Jr., Brendan Fehr, Ken Leung, Jill Flint, and Eoin Macken.

Aside from the aforementioned, "Proof" alum Jennifer Beals is also set to "The Night Shift" season 3. According to Deadline, the actress is set to reprise his role as Doctor Syd Jennings, a "Major in the Army," who has worked hand in hand with the Culture Support Teams (CST) and with the Ranger and Special Forces units. With the background of Beals' character, it is assumed that the story will not only revolve in a clinical setting, but also in other departments.

"The 100" star Linsey Morgan is also set to be part of "The Night Shift" season 3. According to TV Line, the actress is set to play the role of Kryztal, who is a "high-strung bride" whose injury from a wedding day accident uncovers a more profound and more complex medical dilemma, alongside the presence of her former absentee father.

"90210" alum AnnaLynne McCord is also set to join "The Night Shift" season 3. According to Entertainment Weekly, the actress will play the role of Jessica Sanders, a "striking and driven" pharmaceutical representative who was always finding ways to settle a deal. The character is also set to brew romance with one of the doctors in the series.
