Known for playing the role of Maggie Jordan on 'The Newsroom', the HBO series star Alison Pill now has a new role to play as the series has come to a close, and it is not another acting gig. It's her life as a wife to fiancé and actor Joshua Leonard.

The actress posted on her Instagram a photo of herself and her fiancé showing off her new ring at the Joshua Tree National Park in California. "Let's do this, 2015!!! @theJoshuaLeonard," Pill captioned the photo.

What a splendid way to start a new year for the couple. However, there is much pressure according to several reports, as last year was a year filled with big Hollywood celebrity weddings. The newly married 2014 celebrity couples include Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin as well as Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson.

Meanwhile, Pill and Leonard have not released any further information regarding their wedding as the two just finished celebrating their busy holidays together. Pill previously posted a photo of her and Leoonard decorating Pill's family's Christmas tree.

A photo's caption reads, "One from Christmas," Pill shared on Instagram with a picture of her by the Christmas tree with Leonard as her assistant decorator. "Me and @TheJoshualeonard decorating the tree. #Ornaments #Pillfamilycelebration," she wrote.

Everybody seemed quite happy for the newly engaged couple. Even Pill's 'Newsroom' co-star Olivia Munn congratulated the actress right away upon finding out the news. "OMG!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!" she wrote on Pill's Instagram post.

Meanwhile, as the two prepare for their big day, their fans and the media will surely be looking after every move these two make as the year progresses.

Pill is also known for her acting work in 'Milk' and 'Midnight in Paris' as well as for her previous relationship with Jay Baruchel and their split in 2013.
