‘The My Little Pony Movie’ 2017 Release Date: Film To Clash With ‘Thor: Ragnarok,’ ‘Justice League?’

Jayson Thiessen's upcoming animated adventure film "The My Little Pony Movie" has got its release date and it will reportedly enter a competition with big film titles.

According to Deadline, Thiessen's "The My Little Pony Movie" will be sharing the big screen release , along with Taika Waititi's upcoming Marvel Comics film "Thor: Ragnarok" and Zack Snyder's forthcoming DC Comics film "Justice League."

Previous reports said that Lionsgate and Hasbro are set to work together on a cinematic adaptation of the hit animated series "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic," which was a previously released installment of the "My Little Pony" franchise.

While the exact details on the plot of "The My Little Pony Movie" are yet to be revealed, there are speculations saying that the film story would be focused on the ponies' adventures as they try to rescue Ponyville, according to Christian Post. The reason why they are trying to rescue the place is yet to be revealed, along with details on other characters and additional cast members.

"The My Little Pony Movie" stars the voices of Kristin Chenoweth, Tara Strong, Ashleigh Ball, Andrea Libman, Tabitha St. Germain, and Cathy Weseluck, among others.

With "Friendship Is Magic" director Thiessen set to helm the film, "Powerpuff Girls Movie" writer Lauren Faust and "My Little pony: Equestria Girls" writer Meghan McCarthy are on board to pen the film screenplay. McCarthy and Michael Vogel will co-produce the film.

Thiessen's "The My Little Pony Movie" is set to premiere in theaters in the United States on Nov. 3, 2017, along with Waititi's "Thor: Ragnarok." Snyder's "Justice League Part One" is set to hit theaters on Nov. 17, 2017.
