'The Musketeers' Season 2 Air Date, Cast News: Actors Train For New Installment at Boot Camp
The cast and crew of 'The Musketeers' are on a new high, as BBC has recently announced that the second season of the 17th century classic story will be aired in January 2015 in the U.K.
Stepping back, the enthusiasm of the actors knew no bounds when they learned about the boot camp training for their roles in the series.
In a recent interview, cast member Luke Pasqualino, who portrays the character of D'Artagnan in the series, not only said that he was very excited about working in 'The Musketeers' Season 2, but he and some other cast members also visited the boot camp to prepare themselves for their roles.
A report by KdramaStars says that when talking about their visit to the boot camp, Luke shared that they "stayed in a castle for a week outside of Prague, and it was literally a boot camp! There were fitness tests, getting up at stupid o'clock in the morning, horse riding for two hours, coming back to do two hours of sword fighting and then a short lunch, then repeating the horse riding and sword fighting after lunch - it was non-stop! It was the most valuable week of the shoot really - it put us in great stead for the rest of the show and kind of gave us a head start really."
During their stay at the said boot camp, the actors have reportedly undergone training with a sword master, a horse master, as well as a stunt coordinator.
In reply to a query regarding Peter Capaldi, whom fans will miss 'The Musketeers' Season 2, Luke said that the cast took his decision sportingly. He added that Capaldi will surely do a wonderful job "as the new Doctor" in 'Doctor Who'.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Digital Spy, Tom Burke, who plays the role of Athos, said, "It hadn't occurred to me and when he was cast, but it just seemed the most brilliant decision."
'The Musketeers' is produced by BBC Drama Production, and is co-produced by BBC WorldWide and BBC America. While Colin Wratten is the producer of the series, Adrian Hodges is the creator and the executive producer.
