"The Mindy Project" season 4 star Mindy Kaling has recently shared her thoughts about the Mindy-Danny split up in the series. Also, series executive producer Matt Warburton has revealed some details on what fans can expect from the show's fourth season.

In her interview with TV Line, Kaling explained the reason why Mindy and Danny got separated for real in "The Mindy Project" season 4. The star said that the opposites attract, but opposites could also have trouble making home together, particularly if they had big and confident personalities.

The actress added that following a struggle to make it work, it had felt like the most realistic thing that would have happened for two parents. Kaling also teased that fans are set to see where Danny is working in "The Mindy Project" season 4, but she did not specify where. However, the actress said that where Danny worked could be seen in a "very funny" episode.

In other news, "The Mindy Project: executive producer Matt Warburton gave some information as to what fans can see from the series' season 4.

In his interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Warburton said that he felt that they had had a very heavily serialized first 13 with tons and tons of really heavy drama, adding that one of the things he was really proud of was that they were really paying off on where things went in the back 13.

For the series executive producer, he thought that the audience was going to be happy to know that it was also really funny and had a lighter tone.

"If that was winter, this is springtime," Warburton said in the interview.

"The Mindy Project" season 4 continues with episode 5, entitled "So You Think You Can Finance," which is set to air on Apr. 19.
