'The Man In The High Castle' Season 2 Update: Alternate History Drama Is Now Amazon’s Most Streamed Series [TRAILER]
Following its release, Amazon's alternate history drama series "The Man in the High Castle" rose as the network's most streamed series.
According to Entertainment Weekly, "The Man in the High Castle" is now Amazon's Prime Instant Video's most-streamed original program in its one month on the service, grabbing the title from the police procedural television series "Bosch."
Just like Netflix, Amazon has not revealed the actual numbers of viewership for "The Man in the High Castle," which implies that the volume of the show streamed and the number of episodes a person viewed is unclear at the moment.
The absence of the numbers also bars fans and viewers from comparing the level of popularity of the show over "Bosch," as well as Netflix's original series like Marvel's "Jessica Jones." Though the series faced some issues with regard to marketing an advertising, "The Man in the High Castle's" current status and renewal for a second season are expected.
Back in November, it was revealed that Amazon was set to pull out advertisements that utilized Nazi's insignia in New York City subways. New York City Transit spokesman Kevin Ortiz told Variety that Amazon had just decided to pull the ads. According to the report, the said ads suggested Nazi's control.
Based on Phillip K. Dick's book of the same name, Frank Spotnitz ten-episode season of "The Man in the High Castle" chronicles the alternate history in which the Nazis have triumphed World War II and the United States has been torn apart into locales under Japan and Germany.
The storyline presents three factions - the "Greater Nazi Reich" in the east, the "Neutral Zone" in the middle, and the "Japanese Pacific States" in the west.
"The Man in the High Castle" was recently renewed for season 2 while "Bosch" is set to return in 2016.
