Nintendo released the official gameplay trailer for its "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" at the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016.
The gameplay trailer starts with a black screen, with a voice over saying "open your eyes." Then, the game landscape comes in and it showcases the game title's natural beauty. It is followed by a character riding a horse, as he traverses the flat plain; it appears that he is off to somewhere.
The "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" also sees the coast, the seas, the valley, the meadow, and the woods as some of the game locales. It also featured the village, which is followed by lightning. After that, the voice over continued to say, "Open your eyes, wake up Link," who is seen running and leaping from the plateau and uses his kite.
It is also confirmed by the trailer that a character can walk toward a horse and ride on it. In addition, the character can also climb on trees, walls, and mountains. The clip also revealed that characters can make use of items like an axe to cut down a tree in order to walk on it to reach the other side of a mountain.
In order to survive, the character can also dive underwater and use bow and arrow to hunt wild animals. He also demonstrates knowledge of cooking, as he can also utilize fire to cook his harvest. Various enemies are also on his ways, so characters can make use of different weapons like a spear, sword and shield, and grenades.
According to Eurogamer, players can discover Link's abilities as they go through the game. As per the publication, this allows them to employ various strategies on how they beat the game.
