'The Legend of Tarzan' Release Date, Trailer Recap: David Yates's Action Adventure Film Will Be Dynamic, Romantic?
In line with David Yates' upcoming action adventure film "The Legend of Tarzan," a second trailer has been released and it is action packed and romantic.
The second trailer opened with a foggy mountain and then a forest, with a man surrounded by some gorillas. In a voice over, the man said that they would never survive, adding that he had all he could to protect his family. The man and the woman in the opening scene appears to be Tarzan's father and mother, who presumably died in the storyline.
The succeeding scenes saw the gorillas take and raise Tarzan as their own, along with the natural dynamics and love the lead character had with the animals. The trailer also showed the forces of civilized men, spearheaded by Christopher Waltz' Captain Rom, trying to penetrate the forest for business.
The trailer also showed the romance between Tarzan and Jane in London, which suggests that fans are also set to see the other setting of the film and the change in Tarzan's way of life. More sequences showed Tarzan in the wild, such as his relationship with the wild animals and how he dealt with existing tribes in the forest.
As the trailer ends, it is seen that wild beasts attack Captain Rom's place, which indicates that the creatures were able to act in oneness with Tarzan. Overall, the trailer blends elements of action, romance, and love, as well as care for nature.
Set in a jungle and in London, "The Legend of Tarzan" follows Tarzan's life and having accustomed to his new life in London, he is called back to his former home to scrutinize the activities at a mining encampment.
According to Movie Web, Tarzan's name in London would be John Clayton III and he had been invited back to the Congo as a trade emissary of Parliament. However, he had not known that he was a pawn in a "deadly convergence" of greed and vengeance by Captain Rom.
Aside from Waltz, the film stars Casper Crump, Djimon Hounsou, John Hurt, Ella Purnell, Samuel L. Jackson, Margot Robbie as Jane, and Alexander Skarsgard as Tarzan.
Yates' "The Legend of Tarzan" is set to premiere in the United States on July 1.
