"The Last Ship" is taking a hiatus this week as TNT has scheduled repeats to air. However, fans can expect another interesting episode when it returns on Aug. 14.

Episode 9 is titled "Eutopia," which is certainly interesting considering that it feels almost like Utopia, but with a touch of Europe. It could be just a new Latin version of Utopia, but fans have yet to ascertain the meaning beyond that.

Based on the official synopsis released by TNT, Chandler will be able to make some good progress as he tries to solve the challenges that have been plaguing him since the previous episode. Meanwhile, Kara will try to look for some further information about the White House, which has gone through a lot of tumult recently. Fans will see where her investigation brings her as the episode airs next week.

So far, this season of "The Last Ship" has never fallen short of twists and shockers, making it more and more interesting for viewers.

In episode 8, fans were shocked after witnessing President Michener kill himself after being plagued by guilt. It can be recalled that he blamed himself for the loss of many American lives due to the spread of virus in St. Louis.

In other news, "The Last Ship" has been renewed for another season. The announcement was made by TNT during the Television Critics Association's Press Tour which was held last July 31.

"The Last Ship" season 3, episode 9 will air on Aug. 14 on TNT.
