'The Last Of Us' Movie Cast News, Rumors: 'Game of Thrones' Star Maisie Williams to Play Ellie?
'The Last of Us' game which is rumored to have a live-adaptation movie may be in the earliest stages of developments as there are no official announcements regarding who will be the director or in the cast. However, several rumors have sprung up as to who the fans think are the best actors to play the characters in the game.
It will surely be a movie to look forward to if indeed there is one in development. Although it is really not yet clear if there will be a movie yet. Even game director Neil Druckman isn't sure about it. "As far as where we go and how we make it fit into a film, how it takes into account the unique properties of film... We're not sure yet," he said at press time last year, "We're only just scratching the surface," he added.
Meanwhile, cast rumors are getting so much online traffic especially when 'Game of Throne' actress releases a statement that even gives more possibility for the film. In her interview with IGN, Maisie Williams would love to play Ellie if the film will be a go.
"So the way it was left is they want me to do it, and I want to do it," she said, "But there's no script, no director, and no anything else. So at this moment, it's looking like, 'Yes,' but it's still such early days. If they make it in 30 years, they can't have a 40-year-old Ellie. So at the moment, it's looking good, and I'd love to do it," Williams said.
The game, 'The Last Of Us' is a hit Playstation 3 game released in June 2013 and last year, a re-mastered version of the game arrived. The game circulates on the story of a man (Joel) and a young woman (Ellie) in a post-apocalyptic era who are fighting to survive against humans and other deadly creatures.
