'The Last of Us 2' Release Date Rumors: Gets 2018 Release, Features Time Travel?
The latest updates on Naughty Dog's "The Last of Us 2" include the title's release date and the plot.
"The Last of Us 2" might be released in 2018, Master Herald has learned. While it is possible, it is also rumored that the Naughty Dog title is set to come out in 2017. With such details, the studio has not confirmed any information nor made any announcement on the game's release date.
In terms of game plot, the title is set to concentrate on time-jumping elements, which are comparable to Remedy Entertainment's 2015 title "Quantum Break," according to Segment Next. In a statement, as cited by the publication, game director Neil Druckmann revealed that the story would follow characters that return to the past to alter events in the future.
With Druckmann's revelations, it is assumed that fans may possibly see past events in Joel and Ellie's life. However, it is also rumored that Joel and Ellie's stories are set to be part of the title sequel and it might see Ellie's reaction when she learns that Joel had not told her the truth, as per Christian Times.
"The Last of us" is an action-adventure horror video game. Set in post-apocalyptic United States, the title centers Joel and Ellie, in a third-person gaming perspective.
Naughty Dog's "The Last of Us" is set to be released for the PlayStation 4.
