With "The Last of Us 2" confirmed by "Uncharted 4" as an Easter egg, it is revealed that the game is set to center on Ellie.

On May 19, people behind "The Last of Us 2" tweeted that Ellie is set to be the focus of the storyline of the upcoming game title. According to fans' speculations, the Easter egg was a poster found at the epilogue of the game, which is entitled "The Last of Us: American Daughters."

The aforementioned poster shows a pregnant woman sporting a gas mask, with her left hand holding a gun. Since the woman's face is not distinct, it is assumed that the character is either a pregnant Ellie or her mother, as per Game N Guide. This also suggests that the storyline of "The Last of Us: American Daughters" could be either a prequel or a sequel to the game title.

According to MNR Daily, "The Last of Us: American Daughters" could just be a teaser on what fans can expect from the comic book series of "The Last of Us 2," as Naughty Dog, the company behind the game, published a four-series comic book entitled "The Last of Us: American Dreams."

While "American Daughters" could serve as the game iteration of the four-series comic book, Naughty Dog has yet to announce exact details on the main storyline of the game, in addition to the identity of the woman in the poster and whether Joel from "The Last of Us" is set to return in the anticipated game franchise.
