'The Jungle Book: Origins' 2017 Movie Cast Confirmed; Jack Reynor Says Plot To Be 'New And Special' But Dark

The live adaptation of "The Jungle Book" by Rudyard Kipling is currently in progress. "The Jungle Book: Origins" reveals its official cast characters recently.

The British film is composed of highly acclaimed actors. According to Enstarz, the movie's powerful cast includes Rohan Chand as Mowgli, Benedict Cumberbatch as Shere Khan, Christian Bale as Bagheera, Cate Blanchett as Kaa, Serkis as Baloo, Naomie Harris as Nisha and Tom Hollander as Tabaqui.

Furthermore, the upcoming film also stars Matthew Rhys as John Lockwood, Freida Pinto-whose role is still under wraps, Peter Mullan as Akela, Eddie Marsan as Vihaan, and Jack Reynor as Brother Wolf. The movie is directed by Andy Serkis.

"Jungle Book: Origins" is about Mowgli, who is an orphaned boy who was raised by animals. The production will start on March 9.

Meanwhile, actor Jack Reynor shared his insight regarding the upcoming adventure fantasy film. When asked about his knowledge of the film, he said that fans could expect it to be completely new and special, but a "bit darker" than the book.

"I'm really anticipating that movie, man. I think it's gonna be very good," the actor added, quoted from the Movie Network. "And it's a wonderful experience, I mean, kind of one of the most profound experiences I've ever had in my life," he added.

 "The Jungle Book: Origins" will come out in cinemas on Oct. 6, 2017.
