'The Incredibles 2' Release Date: Director Brad Bird Leaks Cast, Plot, And Movie Details

"The Incredibles 2" director Brad Bird, gave an interview to IGN to shares some plot details about the movie.

The conversation was done amidst the non-stop flows of fan theories, rumors, and "leaks" coming out everywhere.

Bird confirmed the buzz that the upcoming "The Incredibles" installment will focus on the Parr children.

While the first movie was family-oriented -- focusing on the mom and dad superheroes and the children who are growing and discovering the powers, the second movie will be more centered on one character: Jack-jack.

"I kind of had these piles of ideas that didn't have a central theme. I liked the individual ideas but I was looking for something more substantive to hang it on. I think that I've found that and now I'm at the point of seeing if I'm right," said Bird.

Edna, the outfitter of the Parrs will also have a big part in the upcoming story. She designs the family's superhero costumes. Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson) will also be back, reports Movie News Guide.

"Everytime I run into Brad, he always tells me Frozone is part of what's going on [in the sequel], so I have to believe that. I guess they could be the Incredibles without Frozone, but I think Frozone would be a wonderful addition to what's already there," said Bird.

The part 2 is set 11 years after the first installment -- which is very timely since it's also 11 years since we saw "The Incredibles."

Earlier reports claim that the reason behind the huge gap is that the creators were waiting for an excellent story. "The Incredibles" is not being created basing on any company's financial plans, rather it is being weaved to be a perfection.

Finally Bird has refused to reveal more details on the film, "If you tell too much there's no fun for the audience and if you don't tell anything everyone gets mad and says 'there better be a big twist!' You'll have to wait and see!"

"Incredibles 2" is dated to be released on June 21, 2019.
