‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2' Update News: First Full-Length Official Trailer Released [VIDEO]
Much to the delight of 'The Hunger Games' fans, Lionsgate have just released the first full-length official trailer for 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2,' which showcases the final encounter between the rebels led by Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and President Snow (Donald Sutherland).
A report in Christian Today states that the video clip shows President Snow telling Katniss, "My dear Miss Everdeen, make no mistake," adding, "The game is coming to its end."
According to the report, the trailer follows President Snow's words, since several sequences focus on the rebels' march as well as ultimate battle against the Capitol and its soldiers. Apparently Snow has set several thousand traps within the city, to ensure that the march to the Capitol will be hazardous for anyone who even attempts to enter the walls of the city.
In a number sequences, viewers can see black goo chasing the rebellion inside the Capitol city, while there is a sequence that shows the floor crumbling behind them. The trailer shows Finnick (Sam Claflin) fighting one of the half-human half-lizard mutants in the sewers, which is also being searched thoroughly by Katniss and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson).
Observant fans will also be able to catch a quick look of Eugenie Bondurant as Tigris and a shot of a peaceful meadow, which is speculated to comprise a part of the upcoming film's epilogue.
As far as the action scenes in the movie are concerned, the trailer holds nothing back. The trailer shows Katniss leading the march with several hundred rebels following her. She is also seen shooting an arrow causing a massive explosion in the sewers. In addition, there are several scenes related to booby-traps, for instance the wall of goo and the sewer lizards.
While the previous film of the franchise, 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1,' earned a little less compared to 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,' as a whole, the franchise has earned more than $2.3 billion worldwide. Hence, it is expected that this fourth and final film of the franchise will take the success of the movies in the series to new heights.
'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2' is slated for release on Nov. 20, 2015.
