The Gospel of Oprah Winfrey: Is One of the Country's 'Most Influential Spiritual Leaders' Leading People Down the Correct Road to Christ? (VIDEOS)
Oprah Winfrey is known for placing a great deal of emphasis on spirituality. She was pegged "one of the most influential spiritual leaders in America," by Christianity Today.
A video called "The Church of Oprah Exposed" was posted on YouTube.com a few years ago and it his since accumulated millions of views. The video refers to Winfrey's viewers as "the largest church in the world," because of the spiritual advice the mogul continually provides.
Some Christian publications have called her "the most dangerous woman on the planet," and a "forerunner to antichrist." Many claim her spiritual views are "New Age" and conflict with biblical Christianity.
Oprah grew up attending a Baptist church and regularly uses Christian language. She is often seen promoting Christian projects, and preachers such as T.D. Jakes and Joel Osteen to name a few.
During one of her famous "lifeclasses" in New York City in 2012 Winfrey professed her Christian faith publicly. "I am a Christian. That is my faith," she said. "I'm not asking you to be a Christian. If you wanna be one, I can show you how. But it is not required. I have respect for all faiths..."

Many criticize Winfrey because she once professed that Jesus was not the only way. That statement is contrary to the Bible scripture that states, "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

Winfrey has openly shared that one of her favorite spiritual teachers has been Eckhart Tolle, author of "A New Earth," a major best-seller that mixes both Christian and non-Christian views. Readers claim that Eckhart gave them a new way to look at Jesus Christ.
Oprah stated that she too has found a different way to view Christ. She once said it is not about salvation through the cross but rather about Christ-consciousness. Likewise, she described heaven not as an eternal destination but an inner realm of consciousness.
Below is a short snippet of Winfrey discussing "Christ-consciousness."
Christianity Today writer LaTonya Taylor said, "To her audience of more than 22 million mostly female viewers, she has become a postmodern priestess"”an icon of church-free spirituality."
During a 3-day event hosted by the mega-star to honor the Black Female "Legends," Winfrey provided a place for some of Hollywood's biggest stars to gather and hear about what Christ did for some of these legends. During a worship service it has been reported that the Holy Spirit came down and moved amongst the crowd.

Winfrey has said, "God is a feeling experience not a believing experience," which again has been highly criticized because Christians follow Biblical scripture which states in John 3:18, "Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already"¦"
Shattered paradigm productions produced a video taking clips of the well-respected Winfrey and aligned it with scripture. View the video below.
Winfrey's conflicting views have left many confused as to what she truly believes. As a professing Christian should Winfrey frame her walk in God with the word of God? Leave your thoughts in the comment section.
