'The Good Wife' News, Update: Jeffrey Dean Morgan Admits He Was Upset By 'The Good Wife' Finale Ending?
The series finale of "The Good Wife" saw Alicia Florrick throw everything away for her husband, including Diane Lockhart's marriage and her relationship with Jason.
According to actress Julanna Marguiles, she knew a lot of people were upset by the ending.
"I thought it was exactly how it should end. I know a lot of people were upset by it. I think it's--she's going on to do her thing. She's not cowering behind a slap," she told E! News.
Even actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan who plays Jason admitted that he did not like how things ended in the season finale.
"I didn't like it. But it's not my show, you know what I mean? If Julianna was happy, then I was happy. My feeling was we raised so many questions about Jason and this relationship that he had with Alicia that I felt like nothing was ever answered, you know? So I walked away frustrated for my character and Alicia's character in not having any kind of closure with that," said Morgan.
Despite his qualms with the final season, he admitted that while he wasn't thrilled that parts of his storyline were dropped, his dislike for the story was "all selfish."
"I wasn't happy with the ending because I wasn't happy with Jason. So that's not a very fair assessment for the audience or for creators Michelle and Robert King, who are obviously brilliant," the actor said.
"The Good Wife" is getting a spinoff on CBS, so fans may still get a chance to see if Morgan's character got back together with Alicia. Season 7 is set to pick up a year after the season finale.
