'The Fosters' Season 4 Premiere Spoilers: Nick Takes Father's Gun To School; Jude Struggling With Identity Crisis?

The Foster family will immediately have to sort out some predicaments as "The Fosters" return on Freeform with the season 4 premiere, three weeks from now.

Titled "Potential Energy," the premiere episode of "The Fosters" season 4 will feature Nick bringing a gun inside the school premises. In the episode, Foster mothers Stef and Lena will be summoned by the school head after Nick, the boyfriend of Mariana, brought with him a gun, causing an emergency school lockdown.

Spoilers for the upcoming season suggest that the premiere episode will pick up where the previous season left off, where Callie admitted to her moms that she had an intimate relationship with Brandon before they legally became siblings. Just when the mothers are about to fathom out Callie's confession, they will be informed that the school where their children are has been put on "Code Blue" lockdown.

It looks like Nick's reason for bringing his father's gun to school is understandable. In the episode, he will see Mariana having some intimate moments with her ex-boyfriend Mat, causing him to see red.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed by Hayden Byerly that Jude will continue to struggle with his principles and his sexual preference in season 4.

"He'll continue to struggle with his balance between being religious and gay, and he'll try to find who he is and he's still going to struggle accepting who he is and come to terms with that. So we'll see that in the beginning right out of the gate actually and probably throughout most of the season," Byerly told Enstars.

"The Fosters" season 4 premieres on June 20, 8:00 P.M. on Freeform.
