'The Following' Season 3 News, Spoilers: New Chapter Opens Up during March 2 Premiere
With the third season of "The Following" premiere on Monday, March 2, cast members express what's to come after a very dark and suspenseful season two finale.
Agent Ryan Hardy, who is played by Kevin Bacon, tells sources that Hardy will be trying to turn over a new leaf. Viewers got a taste of Hardy trying to change with him not killing Carroll.
Said Bacon in an interview, "Of course it's a good thing that Joe is jail and of course it's that I can push him out of my mind and heart. But does it leave a hole, does it leave a void? You have a guy that you've been hunting and hunting...to come up to that moment, where (Joe's) life is in my hand and make that choice, I think it's cathartic."
Another character who is supposed to change a lot in the next season in Mike Weston, played by Shawn Ashmore. He says that he will be looking for a lot of vengeance.
He said, "Mike is fully hunting down Mark Gray; he wants to kill Mark. He is out for blood. Whether the only thing that can satiate that is his death or he'll be captured and Mike can maybe move on, we don't know yet."
According to the show's executive producer Marcos Siega, Season 3 opens up a new chapter as characters Hardy and Weston are changing from their past experiences as well as moving on from them as new enemies will be introduced, some who may appear familiar to them.
Siega said, "This year they're dealing with the sins of the past; all the thing they've done in Season 1 and Season 2 are kinda going to come back to haunt them."
Season 3 of "The Following" premiered Monday, March 2, at 9 pm on Fox.
