'The Flash' Season 3 News, Cast: Upcoming Season To Take On 'Flashpoint' Story Arc
While everybody is excited for "The Flash" season 3 to take on the "Flashpoint" story arc, several changes are expected to happen in the show's timeline.
Rumors have it that the actions of Barry Allen in "The Flash" season 2 finale will not only shake the Central City, but will also cause a major "Flashpoint" change in the 5th season of "Arrow."
It can be recalled that in "The Flash" season 2 finale, Barry Allen decided to return in time to save his mother. As he went back to the night of her death, he killed Reverse-Flash and consoled Nora Allen.
Due to the unexpected turn of events in the season 2 finale, fans now speculate that the next installment of the comic book series will tackle the "Flashpoint" story arc.
As to how the upcoming season will affect "Arrow" season 5, it looks like the previous season already gave hints when Harrison Wells was shown watching TV in Earth-2. In the said scene, the television featured a news report about Robert Queen being Green Arrow, while Oliver faced death at the sea.
There are speculations that "The Flash" season 3 will revisit this detail, which is also very similar to what happened to Thomas and Bruce in the "Flashpoint" story arc where Bruce's father became Batman after he got killed in an alley.
The striking resemblance in the two arcs makes it possible that more than one Green Arrow will appear in "The Flash" season 3, primarily since that's what happened in "Flashpoint." Fans have also yet to know if Barry will be able to deal with "The Flash" season 3's change in timeline, and if Oliver Queen will lead Group Arrows in the 5th season of "Arrow."
"The Flash" season 3 airs on October 4 on The CW.
