'The Flash' Season 3 Episode 1 Spoilers: Barry Chose Between Living As Himself
Barry faced tough choices in "The Flash" season 3 episode 1.
Entitled "Flashpoint," the episode saw Barry living his dream life, which included his live parents, being able to ask Iris West on a date, and live a normal life, as per Spoilers Guide. With Barry being normal, without powers, Central City also had another speedster named Kid Flash, who ran around to save the city from harm.
The episode also saw Barry begin forgetting some areas from his former life and in line with this, the Reverse Flash taunted his nemesis and told him that negative effects awaited if he chose to live in the alternate realm. Such impacts include the complete loss of his powers at par with the loss of his memories.
The aforementioned situation pushed Barry to decide whether he really wanted to continue living in the alternate universe as himself or return to his former environment as The Flash.
Barry managed to go home, with Thawne's help. According to iDigital Times, they had corrected the timeline; however, it did not mean absences of consequences. Barry opened the door and found Wally and Joe hanging out, which was similar to the night before he went back to the past and formed Flashpoint. Barry noticed that Iris was missing and Wally told the former that the latter and Joe did not talk, which suggests that the woman was alive.
The episode ended with Edward Clariss hearing a voice in his head. As he woke up, he saw the word "ALCHEMY" scratched into the mirror.
"The Flash" season 3 episode 1, "Flashpoint," premiered on Oct. 4.
