Get ready for the return of "The Flash" this January as the CW Network starts the new year right with a fresh Flash episode entitled "Potential Energy."

The official synopsis released by The CW reads:

"Now that they've grown closer, Barry (Grant Gustin) considers telling Patty (guest star Shantel VanSanten) that he is "The Flash." Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Iris (Candice Patton) try to get to know Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale), and the team hunts down a meta-human who can slow time itself."

The CW Network recently revealed a teaser for the upcoming "The Flash" episode. Barry, played by Grant Gustin, will have his hands full as he and his friends take on two villains this time. In the upcoming episode, there will be tough encounters with Zoom, played by Tony Todd. We will also see the return of Reverse-Flash, who we thought was killed in the previous season.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Matt Letscher will be returning to the show as Barry's nemesis, Eobard Thawne, otherwise known as the Reverse-Flash.

Todd Helbing, the show's executive producer, told EW that Reverse-Flash will be putting a member of S.T.A.R. Labs team in unexpected danger, putting Barry in dilemma and forcing him to make a "life-changing decision."

There is no official word yet on the fate of the newly revealed Wally West whether or not he's gonna be taught to be a speedster in the coming episodes.
