'The Flash' Season 2 Cast News: Jesse Quick and Tokamak Confirmed for Season 2
The additional cast members to the second season of CW's 'The Flash' has just grown even larger than previously assumed. Along with comic book character Jesse Quick being casted as the third confirmed speedster for this upcoming season, Firestorm villain Tokamak has also been casted.
Actress Violett Beane has been tapped for the role of Jesse Quick, and is confirmed to appear in multiple episodes. CW has described her character as "as a brilliant but quirky college student who gets caught up in the battle between The Flash and Season 2 Big Bad (the not-yet-cast) Zoom."
Demore Barnes will take on the role of Tokamak, which has been described as "a charming, but cocky scientist who was affected by the same Particle Accelerator explosion that created the Flash. When Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) recruits him to join the team at S.T.A.R. Labs, Hewitt jumps at the opportunity to fulfill his destiny as a powerful metahuman."
It's uncertain how often his character will appear in the series, but it does however ensure that we will see the Firestorm character return in the second season.
"While Tokamak isn't a name casual fans will recognize, hopefully his appearance in the series indicates that Ronnie Raymond and Martin Stein (Robbie Amell and Victor Garber respectively) will have a more active role in the season. Firestorm will play a role in the upcoming spinoff series DC's Legends of Tomorrow, so it's most likely that the character will get some attention in the weeks leading up to the new series (just like Hawkman and White Canary)," writes Screen Rant.
Confirmed to also appear this season is Teddy Sears as Jay Garrick, and Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West.
'The Flash' returns to the CW on October 6.
