'The Flash' Season 2 Air Date, Spoilers, News: DC Comics Superhero in the Spotlight
Fans are going wild as the second season of 'The Flash' is set to premiere tonight, and they cannot wait to find out what is going to happen to their favorite superhero.
For those that may not remember, the series stars Grant Gustin who plays the titular hero, Barry Allen, also know as The Flash. In the previous season, the super-fast superhuman defeated his arch-nemesis Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash, and now fans want to know what's next for the dynamo.
With the next episode up on the hot plate, it seems that Barry Allen will find no solace as he's put back into action by a strange occurrence in Central City. According to the synopsis given by The Futon Critic, a massive singularity threatens to consume Central City and everything around it, leaving The Flash no choice but to try and stop it.
While his efforts will be courageous and obviously heroic, the quick superhero will quickly learn that he cannot always handle tough situations by himself and will need a little help from his friends.
Moving into some of the villains The Flash will encounter this season, one of which is Atom Smasher who's a meta-human capable of incredible destruction. Beyond him, there will be plenty of interesting foes as Season 2 of 'The Flash' presses on.
In Season 2, fans of the series can expect to see some interesting interactions between Barry Allen and his love interest Iris. She will stress to him that even though he's super fast and clever, he's going to need the help of the people around him to take down and big bad villains.
Beyond that, fans should know that Cisco will assist Joe in the creating "the Meta Task Force," or MTF for short, which will attempt to gather information and control any emerging meta-humans that pose a threat to civilians or Cental City.
On that note, series followers should be ready to catch 'The Flash' Season 2 tonight October 6, at 8:00 pm EST on The CW.
