'The Flash' Season 1 Spoilers, News: Producer Reveals Show's Emotional Finale Episode

CW's 'The Flash' is set to conclude its first season on Sunday night, and according to executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, it's certain to be one emotional ride.

With the induction of one of the series' main protagonist being revealed as a villain toward the end, the show's been on a huge roller coaster.

With this season finale, it has been said that Barry will have to make a climactic decision that will surely alter the rest of his life.

"It's incredibly emotional," Kreisberg tells EW, "When we had the table read for that episode, everybody just started crying. Usually when we have the table reads, I read the stage directions, and after a while I just stopped because everybody was in tears and quiet. We've worked really hard to build up these believable relationships between everybody throughout the course of the season. We did the greatest hits of all the scenes that made us cry over the season and put them all in the finale again."

If their teary table read is a clue to someone being killed off the series is still speculation.

The end of the show plays out a race between Barry Allen and Eobard Thawne, with him enacting his plan to return to his own time.

"The full measure of Wells' plan, why he's doing what he's doing and what really fully happened that night that Barry's mother died, all of those things are going to come to fruition. I hope people will feel like it's a satisfying conclusion to this year's story. It really wraps up season 1 in a complete way, while at the same time helping to launch what's going to be the storyline for season 2."

'The Flash' season finale airs Tuesday at 8:00 pm ET on The CW.
