'The Flash' Season 1 Episode 17 Spoilers: Mark Hamill to Appear in ‘Tricksters’ [VIDEO]

Having promoted his appearance on The CW show 'The Flash' for quite some time now, actor Mark Hamill will finally be seen on the next episode of the show, entitled 'Tricksters.'

In Season 1 Episode 17, the 'Star Wars' icon will be seen portraying the role of a villain named the Trickster. In the 1990 original 'Flash' TV Series, this character was portrayed by Hamill. However, the show lasted only for one season and was comprised of 22 episodes.

Quoting the official synopsis of the upcoming episode, Christian Today reports, that the new villain is a serial killer who uses the name "Trickster," and triggers a series of explosions in the city. In 'Tricksters,' fans will see Barry Allen and Joe speaking to James Jesse, the original Trickster now residing in prison for two decades, with a view to obtain clues on ways to stop the new impersonator.

However, things go out of kilter when the two Tricksters team up and kidnap Henry Allen, portrayed by John Wesley Shipp, who also featured in the '1990s series The Flash together with Hamill. In a way, this episode is turning out to be a mini-reunion for these two actors and a certainly an Easter egg for the fans of the earlier TV series.

In the 'Tricksters,' fans will also see the plot delving into Harrison Wells as well as the origins of the particle accelerator through flashbacks. On the other hand, Iris will be seen experiencing problems with a case and will seek Eddie's help.

In fact, Hamill's role as the Trickster is not his sole appearance in a DC show. Perhaps, he is best known for his role as Luke Skywalker in the 'Star Wars' franchise. In addition, the actor also rendered his voice for the character of the Joker in 'Batman: The Animated Series' in the 1990s. Later, he reprised the role for the 'Arkham' video games.

'The Flash' Season 1 Episode 17 titled 'Tricksters' will air on March 31. After this episode, the show will go on a two-week hiatus, while the remaining six episodes will begin to air on April 14.
