'The Flash' New Cast News: 'Dexter' Star Devon Graye to Play Trickster in CW Series
If you have been keeping up with all "The Flash" promos and trailers, you'll know that things are heating up for the young superhero as a whole new slew of villains joins the cast.
The show has just been renewed for a new season, and the mid-season break promises a whole lot more action for the speedster.
Among the villains, it has been announced that Axel Walker, or the copycat Trickster, will be played by "Dexter" alumni, Devon Graye.
On the show he played a young teenage version of the serial killer, Dexter Morgan.
Along with this news, it has been confirmed that Mark Hamill will play the "real" Trickster, reprising the same role he played in the '90s adaption of "The Flash."
"Trickster is a member of the Rogues, a band of super villains that cause chaos in Central City. Graye joins fellow Rogues Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), as well as Weather Wizard (Liam McIntyre) and The Pied Piper (Andy Mientus)," according to IGN.
The CW reveals this synopsis of the character and how he will be worked in to the series:
"In this new iteration, The Trickster is an anarchist terrorist con man serving a life sentence in Iron Heights who helps Barry (Grant Gustin) and Det. West (Jesse L. Martin) to foil the city-wide attacks of a wannabe Trickster eagerly following in the original's deadly footsteps. The episode will reunite him with John Wesley Shipp who went up against him as the original 'Flash' on the CBS version."
John Wesley Shipp now plays Barry Allen's incarcerated father in the current series.
The episode is projected to be the seventeenth in the season. However, a specific date and title for it is still unknown.
"The Flash" will return Tuesday at 8 on the CW.
