'The Flash' Movie News: Ezra Miller Teases Multiverse Idea with Film and TV [VIDEO]
The official DCCU plans to kick off with the opening of the 'Batman V Superman' movie, and judging by what we've already seen, Zack Snyder plans to deliver.
One of the more skeptical projects announced to come is 'The Flash' solo film, and that mainly stems from the casting of Ezra Miller as the titular character. He's been reluctant to say much about the upcoming film as it is still a couple years off, but he recently opened up about what intrigued him about the role to begin with in an interview with MTV.
"Barry Allen is the hero of the Silver Age, who follows a lot of really interesting discoveries in physics," said Miller. "It's like, where he comes from, we've figured out the event horizon was there, and then he was the character that was created through our mythos machine of comic books to break that event horizon so we could explore in fantasy. I think that's an interesting idea - and also what the f**k does that do to someone?"
The fact that he brings up that particular mythos with the character leads spectators to believe that this may be the arc they use in the films. The Flash gets pretty complicated when it comes to time travel and dimension-hopping as has been seen on the CW television show.
Miller also goes on to speak on his interest in the series and even teases a possible collaboration:
"Come on, we're The Flash! It's parallel universes! Grant Gustin is The Flash and I'm The Flash - don't you see? It's the Event Horizon, we crossed it baby! Grant and I are chilling. We're gonna have a race - it's gonna be dope! Like Jay Garrick and Barry Allen back in the day!"
Despite the TV and movie universe being separate, some would say the actor is insinuating that they could still perhaps be connected through the hero's ability to hop through the multiverse. It's an interesting concept to say the least.
