'The Finest Hours' New Trailer News: Chris Pine & Crew Go on a Suicide Mission
In the new Disney movie, The Finest Hours, Chris Pine will star as the main character. In the new promotional trailer released for the feature film, Pine's character and his crew go out on a "suicide mission."
The group goes out on the water during the biggest storm of the year. The movie is based on a true story as well as the book by Casey Sherman and Michael J. Touglas.
The film is set in 1952, and viewers get a look at the horrifying mission that the United States Coast Guard was sent on.
Pine plays Captain Bernie Webber, who is not afraid to take on sixty foot high waves and wind with almost no protection. His assistant engineer is Ray Sybert, who is portrayed by Casey Affeck.
Sybert has to step in when everyone else is at odds. Eric Bana plays the role of the Warrant Officer who ordered the mission without realizing exactly how detrimental it could be.
The tale is based on the huge nor'easter that hit New England on February 18th, 1952.
Also starring in The Finest Hours will be Rachel Brosnahan, who will be playing the love interest of Captain Webber, Bea Hansen.
In order to find out whether Pine can lead a team of four through a storm and live to tell the tale, you will have to catch The Finest Hours in theaters and see for yourself.
The Finest Hours is set to be in theaters on January 29th, 2016.
The film is directed by Craig Gillespie and the screenplay is written by Scott Silver, Eric Johnson and Paul Tamasy. Producing are Dorothy Aufiero and Jim Whitaker.
