'The Fast and the Furious 8' Release Date: Dominic Toretto Actor Vin Diesel Reveals 2017 Movie Premiere
Vin Diesel has announced at the CinemaCon this year, the release date of the sequel to 'Furious 7.'
"The Fast and the Furious 8', the first complete film without the late Paul Walker, will hit theaters on April 14, 2017. The actor shared the news at Universal Pictures' panel at CinemaCon in Las Vegas
While he made the announcement, Diesel brought up his Paul Walker's name. He said that the last time he was at the exhibition, he was with Walker.
"The last time I was on this stage I was with my brother Pablo," he said at the convention.
He also said, "I swear to you and I swear to my brother upstairs, we're going to make the best movie you've ever seen," according to USA Today.
For those that may not know, Paul Walker died in a car accident on November 30, 2013, while filming for the recently released installment.
On that note, this year, "Furious 7' earned $1.158 billion at the worldwide box office, according to Box Office Mojo.
Diesel has gone ahead and said that he think the seventh edition of the movie has Oscar glory in its future, according to the Huffington Post.
He said, "It will probably win best picture at the Oscars, unless the Oscars don't want to be relevant ever. This will win best picture"¦There is nothing that will ever come close to the power of this thing," according to Access Hollywood.
