'The Elder Scrolls Legends' News: Late 2016 Release Date Leaked; Game Shares Similarities With ‘Hearthstone?’

New details on the release date and gameplay of Bethesda Softworks' "The Elder Scrolls: Legends" have surfaced.

"The Elder Scrolls: Legends" is set to be released in the latter part of the year, according to PC Advisor. As per the publication, the information came from the studio during the title reveal at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016 event. It is further revealed that the title is on its closed beta testing period, but the studio is set to add more users to the private beta this week.

In terms of gameplay, the "The Elder Scrolls: Legends" cards are bound to feature creatures and characters from the "Elder Scrolls" series, along with a single player and multiplayer gameplay. The single-player story mode centers on Moth Priest Kellen on his endeavor get rid of dark cultists. In the game, the player will be able to obtain new card additions for the deck.

With the upcoming release of the title, it is assumed that "Legends" is set to be a rival to "Hearthstone." According to Inverse, the former will also feature spell effects, as well as damages and buffs people have seen in the latter card game. While "Legends" is posied to have some added mechanics, it cannot be wiped out that it resembles those of "Hearthstone" in general.

"The Elder Scrolls: Legends" is Bethesda's forthcoming collectible card video game, which centers on turn-based matches between two players. The game utilizes cards, which are based on characters, creatures, and storyline of the "The Elder Scrolls" series. The title has five game modes - the story mode, practice mode, solo arena, versus battle, versus arena.

Bethesda's "The Elder Scrolls: Legends" is set to be released for the iOS and Microsoft Windows in 2016.
