'The Elder Scrolls 6' Release Date: Anticipated Title Is Not Coming Yet, According To Its Game Director

New details on the release date of Bethesda Softworks' "The Elder Scrolls (TES) 6" have surfaced and it looks like fans have yet to wait further.

"The Elder Scrolls 6" is not set to come out this year, according to Express UK. As per the publication, this came from game director Todd Howard. In his interview at the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016, Howard said that that was kind of like the elephant in the room, when they talked about anything, adding that he thought it was good to tell their fans in those moments that they were working on the game.

According to Howard, it was something they loved, but he had to be careful on what he said. He added that it was a very long way off that he could sit and explain the game to people and they would say that that sounded like the studio did not even have the technology and ask how long that was going to take.

For Howard, "The Elder Scrolls 6" was something that was going to take a lot of time.

Along with the release of the much-anticipated game title, Howard also mentioned about the two games Bethesda is set to release. In the same interview, as cited by IGN, he said that they thought very long term and they were not a developer that was going to rush something like that out.

Howard added that they had a pretty good idea on the future of that kind of game and it was just going to take technology and time that they did not have right now.

For the time being, fans are yet to see "The Elder Scrolls 5" remaster, titled "Skyrim Special Edition," which is set to come to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows on Oct. 28.
