'The Division' Update: Ubisoft Introduces DirectX 12 Support In New Patch

Ubisoft has been introducing new features to its "The Division" franchise, and it looks like the game developer does not plan to stop anytime soon.

Now, Ubisoft has announced that it is going to drop another update to bring support to "The DivisionX 12." According to Ubisoft, "The Division Directx12" support is designed to provide better optimization for higher resolutions.

The game developer also noted that the new update will address one of the most known issues of the game, where players are unable to modify the brightness when the game is enabled.

Here are what fans of the video game can expect from the new support:

*Fix the issue that causes the loss of character controls

*Lower the performance impact with high CPU usage

*Fix issues with controllers on PC

Meanwhile, Ubisoft confirmed that it would host another Elite Task Force, but its focus this time would be on PvP balancing for update 1.6. This will be available starting Jan. 11, 2017.

"We are excited to announce that we will be hosting another Elite Task Force. This time around we will be focusing on PvP balancing and the Dark Zone for Update 1.6. It will be hosted at Red Storm in North Carolina from January 11th to 13th," said Ubisoft in a statement.

Prior to the new update, Directx12 support for "The Division" appeared on public test server (PTS) for update 1.5. Fans of the video game can hope for better framerates for those with compatible systems when the new update is dropped next week.
