"The Blacklist" is set to return on September 22 for its fourth season and Tom Keen portrayer Ryan Eggold recently revealed that it's going to be packed with shocking revelations.

According to Eggold, the opening of the season will see him inside the trunk of a car. While the actor did not confirm who is responsible for locking him up in there, he assured fans that his character will be able to get out of there safe and sound.

In his interview with Parent Herald, Eggold gave some hints as to what fans of the series can expect in the upcoming season.

"We'll find out what happens between Tom and Liz and what happens with this baby girl they both share. What is the future of that? We're going to deal with that in the beginning of season 4 and then make our way to a brand new series," he said.

In the season 3 finale, fans were left hanging when it was revealed that Scottie was actually Keen's mother. Asked about it, Eggold said he was confused as well.

Fans expect that the new season will also reveal if Tom will get Agnes and Liz back. While Eggold chose to keep the details of the storyline under wraps, he said that Keen will do all it takes to keep his family intact despite the interference of Kirk and Reddington.

"The Blacklist" has already started filming the premiere episode of the upcoming season in July. The series returns on September 22 on NBC.
