'The Blacklist' Season 4 Spoilers: Liz And Red Back Getting Back Together?

The explosive finale of its previous season makes NBC's "The Blacklist" season 4 one of the most highly anticipated shows today. Being a massive hit for its first three seasons, fans expect that the creators of the show will be able to keep the thrill in the fourth season just as high.

One of the most important questions that the new season needs to answer is where Elizabeth "Liz" Keen and Raymond "Red" Reddington's relationship is headed. Following the betrayal of Liz in the previous season, there are speculations that their relationship will go cold in season 4.

Liz realized in season 3 that while she and Red get along pretty well, she cannot live a normal life with him meddling in her personal affairs all the time. However, there are speculations that despite the complexity of their relationship, Liz and Red will still get back together in the upcoming season.

Fans believe that Red is Liz's curse and that she cannot escape him no matter what she does. That is possible, since there will be no more crime fighting and bad guys-beating if Red and Liz will part ways. While Red is reasonably mad at her and will want revenge, it cannot reach to a point that he'll want to kill her.

In his recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, "Blacklist" producer and showrunner Jon Bokenkamp shares his thoughts about the possible separation of the two characters.

"I can't imagine him abandoning Liz. She hurt him, but we often hurt the people we love. The fact he's been hurt isn't nearly enough for him to walk away," he said.

"The Blacklist" season 4 premieres on September 22 on NBC.
