'The Blacklist' Season 4 News, Spoilers: Upcoming Season Picks Up Where Third Season Left Off
Since "The Blacklist" season 3 ended with a bang, fans have been patiently waiting for the series' return on the small screen for season 4.
In the season 3 finale, Liz Keen was revealed to be alive. It turned out that she planned her death so she could live a normal life with her husband and daughter. Another big reveal was that Alexander Kirk was actually the biological father of Liz.
Contrary to what others might think, the two major bombshells don't just end there, as "The Blacklist" season 4 is reportedly picking up where the previous season left off. This was revealed by Jon Bokenkamp via his Twitter account when one fan asked him if the upcoming season will pick up where season 3 left off.
"Yes. We pick up literally moments later. And it's crazy," said the series creator.
After confirming that there will be no time jump in season 4, Bokenkamp asked fans of the series who they want to see in the upcoming season.
"Hey #TheBlacklist fans--what strange and unexpected actors would you like to see on the show this season," he tweeted.
Among those listed by fans were William Shatner, Timothy Omundson, Christoph Waltz, and John Malkovich. Molly Ringwald and Jon Cryer also made it to the list.
Meanwhile, Cartermatt reports that filming for season 4 is getting underway on July 20. Actor Diego Klattenhoff also recently posted a photo showing that he is in New York, gearing up for the production. Based on reports, filming for the upcoming season will likely continue until spring.
"The Blacklist" season 4 premieres on September 22 on NBC.
