'The Blacklist' Season 4 Spoilers, News: A Bolder And Braver Liz From Damsel In Distress?

Faced with a lot of challenges, Liz will be bolder and braver in the upcoming season of "The Blacklist."

In the season 3 finale, Liz learned that Kirk was actually her biological father. The episode also ended with Liz's daughter Agnes and husband Tom still missing and nowhere to be found.

With the recent revelation about Kirk being her real father, and with the disappearance of her loved ones, Liz is certainly going to deal with a lot of personal issues in "The Blacklist" season 4.

Season 4 will follow Liz as she deals with her missing daughter, Red's betrayal and the true identity of Alexander Kirk. There is no assurance that Kirk was telling her the truth when he told her that he was her real father, so Liz is expected to move mountains next season just to know the truth.

According to actress Megan Boone, her character will be a lot stronger in season 4. Because of the challenges she is facing, she will decide to stop playing the damsel in distress and will learn how to fight for herself.

"A stronger Liz will suffer the consequences of extricating him from her life, rather than wish for him to rescue her again," said Megan Boone in her interview with Entertainment Weekly.

"That's not to say he won't, just that I think she's become braver and not a damsel in distress. I think she's learned a lot and is able to fight for herself now," she added.

"The Blacklist" season 4 airs on September 22, 10:00 P.M. on NBC.
