Usually, the plot of 'The Blacklist' has been sticking to its crime-of-the-week format, but things may be changing, as when the popular police procedural television drama on NBC returns for its third season, fans will see Red (James Spader) and Liz (Magan Boone) on the run. Even the series executive producer John Eisendrath recently teased that the upcoming episodes would have a very "different feel."

IB Times reports that during a recent interview with TVLine, Eisendrath teased that 'The Blacklist' Season 3 would be deviating from the procedural formula more than ever with the two main characters of the show being in hiding. The writer/producer further said that while the show will "still be delivering blacklisters," the unlimited Rolodex of criminals Red has lined up for the FBI, the series "will have a different feel." According to Eisendrath, the new feel is attributed to the changing dynamic of several characters, which worked alongside Red and Liz earlier, but were now hunting them down.

Eisendrath told the media outlet, "That's going to cause a lot of tension between those on the task force, each of whom has a very specific point of view about the value of [arresting Liz]," adding, "Ressler [Diego Klattenhoff] is a dogged, by-the-book guy who is going to bring [Liz and Red] in. At the same time, we have found opportunities for Red and Liz to convince the FBI that one of the best ways to keep track of them is to assist them in going after certain blacklisters, who Red and Liz are going after in order to exonerate Liz."

Apparently, there could be a real possibility that Red and Liz may be on the run for sometime now - not only in the premiere episode. However, it might take some more time to understand how to overtake the Cabal and clear their names. If the recently released trailer for 'The Blacklist' Season 3 is any indication, it is likely that Red and Liz would be quite busy while in hiding.

The teaser reveals the pair evading capture from Ressler and the FBI all the time, with Liz sporting a new, blonde hairdo and Red concealing his face in a baseball cap in a scene that seems to take place in an unidentified Spanish-speaking country. Earlier, some leaked photographs showed Red and Liz posing as cops to prevent being captures.
