‘The Blacklist’ Season 3 Plot Rumors: Megan Boone Talks Surprises in Upcoming Episodes

If the hints offered by Megan Boone, who portrays the lead character of Elizabeth Keen in 'The Blacklist,' are to be believed, fans of the NBC crime drama television series, can surely expect more twists in the upcoming Season 3.

A report in Christian Today states that 32-year-old Boone cautioned viewers that when the crime drama returns this fall, "it's going to be a very different show."

In a recent interview with Zap2it, Boone herself was cautious about not revealing specific plot lines, but simply saying that there will be plenty of changes. The actress told the website, "Season 3 is going to be the same characters but a different show, a very different dynamic. It is going to change." She added that the cast and crew were "going to sort of break open a lot of the structure of the show."

When 'The Blacklist' Season 2 ended, fans of the show wondered as to what was in store for the two main characters Elizabeth and Tom (Ryan Eggold) when they saw Elizabeth was seen driving away with Reddington (James Spader). Since Liz is a fugitive, apparently it has become almost impossible that she will have a happy ending with Tom.

Liz fled the country with Red immediately when she was being framed for the murder of a United States senator. However, their fans who are wishing that Liz and Red would end up together are likely to be disheartened as Boone puts a lid on this possible union.

Boone told Zap2it, "I think she loves him, but I don't think there are romantic feelings. I don't necessarily think it's a [romantic] love story between Liz and Reddington, even though there are people out there that really feel that's what they want."

Even fans who are hoping Liz and Ressler will team up will also be disappointed, as executive producer John Eisendrath recently told TV Guide that there won't be any romantic relationship between the two in near future.

Eisendrath said, "We want to focus on developing Ressler's character. In doing that, [we'll] put him in emotionally vulnerable places."

'The Blacklist' Season 3 will premiere on NBC this fall.
