Red (James Spader) will stop at nothing to get Liz (Megan Boone) to recall her memories about the night of the fire, hopefully revealing more details about the notorious Fulcrum. However, in a synopsis released this week, it looks like someone might get in Red's way.

Red wants Liz and the FBI to catch Vanessa Cruz (Ana de la Reguera) as she is the next target on Red's list. According to the International Business Times, Cruz is a frame up artist who prays on wealthy, high-class targets. However, this isn't the one who will get in Red's way of Liz.

In the synopsis, it says that Tom (Ryan Eggold), Liz's ex-husband turned spy, will "plead" for her help. In a promo video for the episode, Liz recalls all of the good times she and Tom had during their marriage. She tells Tom that surely all of that couldn't have been faked. The two even end up sharing a kiss.

Red will pressure Liz even more to recall details about Fulcrum, saying that that it's now a matter of life and death, according to the synopsis. The drama between Tom looks like it will be the driven factor as to whether Liz will remember or not.

In the promo, the narrator says "It's time to make a choice because there isn't room for both of them." "Get out," Red says as she shows up to Liz's home where he find Tom there with her. With a gun pointed, viewers hear a gunshot and the screen goes blank, only to see the show's air time and title before the clip ends.

Liz will have to choose between the man she loves and the man who protects her.

Episode 18 of "Blacklist" airs next Thursday, April 2, at 9/8c on NBC.
