'The Blacklist' Season 3 Cast News, Spoilers: Diego Klattenhoff Names Favorite Villains

Having featured on the 'Homeland' series on Showtime and also in the blockbuster 'Pacific Rim,' actor Diego Klattenhoff, who portrays the character of Donald Ressler on NBC's popular series 'The Blacklist,' has certainly some knowledge regarding the best villains in business now.

According to Latin Post, recently 35-year-old Klattenhoff, a native of Nova Scotia, discussed about some of his preferred villains on the massively successful crime drama TV show 'The Blacklist.'

Even as the fans of 'The Blacklist' prepare themselves for the highly anticipated third season of the series, Klattenhoff said that Anslo Garrick and The Stewmaker were his favorite bad guys. In fact, Fashion and Style further revealed some additional interesting facts regarding Klattenhoff.

The magazine states that the actor purportedly told The Chronicle Herald that he became an adult "in the middle of the woods" in the Woodfield-Moose River area, located southeast of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.

Klattenhoff further revealed that he is aware of his alcoholic concoctions. At the age of 19, he moved to Toronto and he worked as a bartender prior to his acting career propelled him into TV and film. Simultaneously, he started studying theater in Toronto.

Klattenhoff got his big break was in Tina Fey's hit teen movie 'Mean Girls' (2004), where he portrayed the character of Shane Oman alongside Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams.

Interestingly enough, F&S reports that in spite of starring on a hit TV series, the actor didn't tune into the television during his childhood.

In an interview with Anthem magazine, Klattenhoff said, "I didn't really watch much because we only had two channels." He went on to add, "We grew up watching a lot of hockey. Everyone at school was talking about 'Friends,' 'The X-Files' and 'Seinfeld,' and we just didn't have those channels at the time. We kind of grew up missing out. Or, a lot of the time, it was about watching rented movies. If we ever went to the theater in town, we made the most of what we had. We spent most of our time outside."
