'The Blacklist' Season 2 Air Date, Spoilers News: Ron Perlman Joins as Villain
Fans of 'The Blacklist' will be happy to learn that Raymond "Red" Reddington, the FBI's most wanted criminal, will be back with a vengeance on February 1, right after the Super Bowl.
'The Blacklist' tells the story of Red, the "Concierge of Crime," as he mysteriously surrenders to the FBI in exchange for immunity and direct assistance from Elizabeth "Liz" Keen, a new FBI profiler. Under the FBI's watch, Red and the agents will track down a "blacklist" of some of the biggest, baddest, most dangerous politicians, mobsters, spies and terrorists.
In the Fall finale, the drama series revealed that Red and Tom knew each other and were hiding secrets. Creator Jon Bokenkamp promised that answers to questions about their strange relationship will come to fruition in the second half of Season 2.
Bokenkamp told TV Line, "We will continue to tell that story. We don't dive right into it in the Super Bowl episode, but that does start to bubble up later in the back half of the season."
Furthermore, Tom's victim, the dockworker who was buzzing around Liz's hideout, has a wife and family. Soon, we will see Liz forced to handle the danger of her name appearing in the missing person case of the murdered man.
Most excitingly, we will see Red moving forward in his plan to take down the members of his infamous blacklist. Ron Perlman, the actor from 'Sons of Anarchy', will guest star in the upcoming premiere as the villain, a dangerous thief named Luther Braxton. He will kidnap Red, but all is not as it seems.
Out of all the questions fans have about the rest of 'Blacklist' Season 2, the one on the top of the list is: How are Red and Liz related?
