When 'The Blacklist' Season 2 is aired next year after a hiatus, there will be some new plots as well as villains, who are expected to keep Red (James Spader) active. Instead of Mondays, 'The Blacklist' Season 2 will air on Thursdays when it returns on Feb. 1, 2015 on NBC with Episode 9, according to Christian Today.

In the previous episode, viewers saw Berlin's death, which signified the end of the main antagonist of the series. Therefore, this also suggests that there will be at least one new villain in 'The Blacklist' Season 2 Episode 9.

TV Guide has suggested that Ron Perlman, who stars in 'Sons of Anarchy', will be portraying the character of Luther Braxton, who has been described as an international thief. He will be the show's "next mega criminal."

Although Braxton has been described as a thief, this character is very precise in all things he does - planning his crimes much in advance, often months or even years before he commits them.

In Season 2 Episode 8 of the crime television drama, viewers also saw Alan Fitch's (Alan Alda) death. It was shown that before his death Fitch inquires about Fulcrum from Red. After saying that something will go down in 2017, Fitch handed over the combination of a safe in St. Petersburg to Red. So fans are now eagerly waiting to know what will take place in 2017 and what is contained in the safe.

A recent report by Entertainment Weekly says that viewers will see one person targeting Fulcrum. It also stated that that there is some kind of a relation between Liz (Megan Boone) and the Fulcrum. Moreover, when Red tries to find this out, he will be required to protect Liz even at the cost of his life.

Meanwhile, TV Line reports that a new actor will be seen playing the character called Jasper, the 50-year-old director of the National Clandestine Service. Although there has been no decision on who will play the character, it is speculated that only star names will be considered for the role.
