'The Big Bang Theory' Season 10 Spoilers: Alfred And Mary's Shocking Union; How Will Sheldon and Leonard Take It?
"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 dropped the curtain with the shocking union of Leonard's father Alfred and Sheldon's mother Mary. Considering the unexpected coupling, fans are now eager to know what awaits the sons of Alfred and Mary in the next season.
The season 9 finale saw Penny and Leonard host a formal wedding ceremony for the much-awaited father and the orthodox Christian mother, all for the purpose of taking the sting out of Leonard's mother, Beverly. While the two were initially unattached, they eventually began to like each other.
Towards the end of the episode, both Sheldon and Leonard turned off their cellphones as they were left with the realization that Alfred and Mary left together to spend time at a hotel.
The major cliffhanger left by the season 9 finale is now making fans wonder if Sheldon and Leonard's parents will continue to become an item in season 10. If the Mary-Alfred coupling continues in season 10, then that means Sheldon and Leonard will technically have to be brothers.
In an interview, showrunner Steve Molaro said the coupling would be a weird thing to think about, despite Sheldon and Leonard being like real brothers already.
"But aren't they kind of brothers already? I think it's a weird thing to think about their parents together. I'm fond of my parents, but I don't want to think about what they're doing in the bedroom," he said.
"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 premieres later this 2016.
