'The Bachelorette' Next Season News, Rumors: Amy Schumer to Star Next Season?

During her guest appearance in the latest episode of The Bachelorette, Amy Schumer stole the show, and now, reports say that ABC wants Schumer as the next Bachelorette.

Robert Mills, the head of alternative programming for ABC posted a statement via his Twitter account, saying, "OK here is the official offer to @amyschumer to become #TheBachelorette. Just say yes and we start tomorrow. #DraftAmy."

On the episode of the hit reality dating show that aired on Monday, May 25th, Schumer starred on the episode in order to help Kaitlyn Bristowe to judge stand up comedy performances being done by the guys.

She told one of the suitors, JJ, that he did not make funny jokes, and that he is not smarter than everyone else.

In little to no time, fans took to Twitter, of course, to discuss their reactions to Schumer's appearance on the show, most of them begging for more.

Viewer Jenelle Riley wrote, "Oh God ABC please pay @amyschumer whatever she wants to do weekly #bachelorette commentary."

Another fan of the show, and Schumer's performance, Michelle Money tweeted, "All I want is for @amyschumer to be the next bachelorette. And for me to get the final rose. I really don't think that's asking too much."

Some say that it is unlikely that Schumer will be interested in being on the show, as not only is she a hilariously funny comedian, but she is also one of the fiercest critics of patriarchy.

In fact, most of Schumer's comedy is about women just trying to survive in this male centered world.
