'The Bachelorette' Spoilers, News: ABC Casts Two Women to Compete in Season 11
During the season finale of "The Bachelor," host Chris Harrison told viewers and the live audience that "The Bachelorette" would have not one, but two women competing for the affection of 25 men.
The two women are both from this season's "The Bachelor," third place Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson who was cut from the show in week seven.
Fans of the show and past contestants are not happy about the change, stating that there is enough drama with one women getting picked by a man in "The Bachelor."
Bristowe and Nilsson also talked about ABC's decision to have both girls compete on the show. Bristowe said when she learned that she would be facing off with Nilsson, "I think what was going through my mind was, 'Well, that's not ideal.'" However both women are ready for the challenge.
"The Bachelorette" will kick off with 25 men looking at Bristowe and Nilsson and voting who they would want to be picked by. The series will then continue as it usually does each season with men doing everything they can to get a rose from the woman of their dreams.
ABC said in a press release that they simply couldn't pick between Bristow and Nilsson, having then reached the decision to have both of them on and let the men choose.
Everyone on "The Bachelor" finale was shocked. However this isn't the first time the series has done this. Back in 2004, season six of "The Bachelor" began by having the women vote for either Byron Velvick or Jay Overbye to be their potential man. Velvick ended up being the one the women wanted and then was engaged Mary Delgado for five years before ending their relationship.
The official air date for "The Bachelorette" is still being determined.
