'The Bachelorette' News: Amy Schumer Agrees to be Next 'Bachelorette' On Three Conditions
Ever since Amy Schumer made a hilariously funny guest appearance on ABC's hit reality television show, The Bachelorette, during which she called JJ, one of the contestants, a "turd," fans of the show have been rallying for her to become the next Bachelorette.
Even ABC got on board with the idea.
So, when E! News' Maria Menounos sat down to have an interview with Schumer about her new film, Trainwreck, she had to ask whether the comedian would ever seriously consider giving out roses in front of ABC's cameras.
Apparently, Schumer would take the job, but only if the network agrees to three conditions.
For her first demand, Schumer says, "Money. A lot of money." Next, she said that while she is a huge fan of the show, she did not think that she could ever make a good Bachelorette because she is honest and she does not think that the franchise invites such brutal honesty.
"They would have to say, 'We will let you be yourself,'" said Schumer, adding, "I would say what was really up."
Finally, what is probably the most demanding condition for ABC, are her casting requirements.
"The casting process would have to be different," said the star and creator of Inside Amy Schumer, as she mocked the show's job descriptions.
"It's like, 'former investment banker'?! They're like, 'flower enthusiast'? You're like, 'But what do you do? How come you could leave your life?'" she says.
